Missy Pruitt is a nationally recognized cat advocate, educator, and community leader dedicated to changing the way people think about and care for cats. As the founder of She’s All Cat and the creator of Arizona’s first cat café, La Gattara Cat Cafe, Missy has spent nearly a decade building innovative programs that combine education, advocacy, rescue, and community engagement to improve feline welfare throughout Arizona.

Known for her bold voice, creative campaigns, and compassionate approach, Missy has become a leading advocate for addressing the crisis of homeless and outdoor cats through public education and community involvement. Her work focuses on promoting humane solutions, responsible pet ownership, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and changing public perception surrounding cats and animal welfare.

Missy is the founder of a nonprofit feline education initiative designed to help end the cycle of cat overpopulation and suffering through accessible education programs in schools, businesses, and local communities. Through speaking events, educational materials, partnerships, and public outreach, she works to empower people with the knowledge and tools needed to create lasting change for animals.

In addition to her educational work, Missy has been involved in animal welfare legislation efforts in Arizona, including advocacy surrounding Matthew’s Law, legislation created to help protect pets after the unexpected death of an owner.  She also serves as a Humane Policy Volunteer Leader with the Humane Society of the United States.

Missy’s advocacy and community impact have been recognized throughout Arizona. She was honored as a City of Tempe Wavemaker and was named one of Phoenix Magazine’s Great 48 of 2024 for her contributions to animal welfare, education, and community advocacy.  

Whether she is speaking at city council meetings, educating children about compassion, organizing awareness campaigns, writing educational stories, or creating community events centered around cats, Missy’s mission remains the same: to build a kinder world for cats through education, empathy, and action.
